Six (6) anglers from Tight Lines attended this first of three matches here at Woodside this year with anglers pegged on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day started off quite chilly after some heavy rainfall during the small hours. Thankfully, the weather improved soon after the match got underway with the threat of more rain throughout the day failing to materialise.
Winner on the day was Kevin Davis, who drew peg 16 on the dam wall. Fishing paste down his edge for most of the day, Kevin found good-sized carp in numbers to weigh in 112-13-00 to top what turned out to be a great match.
Second place went to Dave Greybanks, who drew peg 3 on the point of the island. Again, paste down the edge accounted for most of Dave's fish which went 96-00-00 on the scales at the end of five hours.
Darren Davis confirmed third place from neighbouring peg 5. Paste down his edge accounted for lots of quality carp, but Darren wasn't able to find the typical paste-stamp fish ending the match with 94-03-00.
