Seven (7) anglers attended this midweek club match on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day started off quite cloudy and felt noticeably cooler. However, as the day wore on, the sun eventually made an appearance for the last hour of the match - too little too late for most unfortunately.
Winner on the day was Terry Pickup from peg 8. Fishing pole and pellet both short and then down his edge late on, Terry found quality fish to around 8lbs in numbers to win the match comfortably despite having his third net disqualified for going over the weight limit. At the end of the five hours, Terry offered 85-14-00 to the scales.
Second place went to Eddie Gibons from peg 22. Again, offering pellet on the pole both short and down his edge, Eddie found mainly carp plus a few silvers to weigh in 44-08-00.
Third place on the day was taken by Steve Pickup, who drew peg 1. Pole and pellet once again did the damage with Steve weighing in 24-13-00 of small carp, roach and skimmers.
