A smaller than usual number of anglers attended this latest outting for TREC AC at Woodside with fourteen (14) anglers pegged across both Woodside and Island pools. Conditions on the day saw a continuation of warm, sunny weather with the resident carp stocks in full spawning mode. With carp spawning, anglers were not permitted to fish their edges with a minimum two metre from the bank rule in effect.
WOODSIDE
Winner on the day on Woodside pool was Rob Sandall. Rob drew peg 1 and opted to fish dead maggot short to find mainly carp of a very good average stamp to take the lake apart with 86-00-00 and confirm a convincing victory.
Second place on Woodside pool was Roger Tomes, who drew peg 14 on the dam wall. Roger caught most of his fish shallow on hard 6mm pellet to weigh in 48-03-00 of carp.
Third place was secured by Scott Sprigg, who drew peg 3 on the point of the island. With the ban on margin fishing, Scott was unable to take advantage of what are normally very productive edges, including over to the island, weighing in 39-12-00 of carp and good quality roach & rudd all taken on dead maggot shallow.

ISLAND
Winner on the day on Island pool was Jason Bird. Jason drew peg 2 and wasted no time in making the most of a great peg. Jason opted for an all out pellet attack offering hard 6mm pellet both up in the water and short to find small 'stockies' in numbers to weigh in 109-01-00.
Second place went to Chris Hall, who drew peg 9 on the opposite bank. Chris caught most of his fish shallow on hard pellet to weigh in 89-02-00.
Third place was Clive Myrie from neighbouring peg 11. Clive caught most of his fish on the method feeder with dead maggot on the hook before a late flurry of fish on his short line (again with dead maggot) gave him a final weight of 74-04-00.
