TREC AC, Woodside & Island Pools
Thirteen (13) anglers from TREC AC attended the club's latest fixture here with both Woodside and Island pools in use.
WOODSIDE
Overall winner on Woodside pool was Steve Hilton, who drew peg 11 just off the point of the island. Fresh off the back of a decent summer festival performance, Steve opted to fish pellet short for much of the day to get among some good stamp fish to weigh in a lake-winning 83-13-00.
Finishing in second place was Mick Carlow from peg 7. Alternating between maggot and pellet hookbaits short to begin with and then down his edge later on, Mick managed 74-04-00 of mostly carp to finish narrowly ahead of third place.
Third place was taken by 'Clava' from neighbouring peg 8. Fishing a small method feeder over to the far side margin, he found 71-04-00 of carp.

ISLAND
Winner overall on Island pool was Terry Finn. Having narrowly missed out on a lake win on their last visit, Terry made sure he didn't repeat his second place finish drawing peg 4 on the dam wall - just one peg further round from where he was on his last match here. Fishing pellet short down his right hand edge and long down his left hand edge, Terry found small carp in numbers to weigh in 85-04-00.
Taking the runner-up spot on this occasion was Scott Banks, who drew neighbouring peg 5. Fishing pellet and maggot short and down his edge, Scott managed 57-13-00.
Finishing close behind in third place on the day was Chris Tomes from peg 2. Fishing pellet short up in the water and the method feeder, Chris found mostly small carp to weigh in 56-04-00.
