Waters Edge AC, Island Pool

Twelve (12) anglers from the Waters Edge AC fished this Sunday club match on the Island pool. Conditions on the day were a little cooler than the days leading up to the match with quite a cold wind blowing up to the dam wall.

Winner on the day was Roy Costello (Simoz Floats) from peg 27. Opting to fish paste and corn short from the off and for the duration of the match, Roy found quality fish in numbers to weigh in a superb 95-04-00.

Paul Simmonds (Simoz Floats) finished in second place from peg 15 opposite the island. Fishing maggot down his edge, Paul found mainly carp as well as some quality roach and odd skimmers to offer a final 63-00-00 to the scales.

Rounding off the top three finish was Alistair Cox from peg 9. Not normally an area associated with form, Alistair fished a tidy match catching mainly on maggot down his edge to weigh in 56-01-00 - a decent effort from a difficult draw.
