Waters Edge AC, Woodside Pool

Eleven (11) anglers from the Waters Edge attended this Sunday club match on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day saw a continuation of bright sun and warm temperatures with plenty of cruising fish teasing the competing anglers.

Winner on the day was Paul Symonds (Simoz Floats) from peg 6. Not normally an area synomous with match-winning weights, Paul fished a tidy match catching both carp and quality silverfish from down his edge on dead maggot over groundbait to weigh in 83-07-00.

Second place was taken by Ian Tetsell from peg 10 on the point of the island. Fishing both pellet and corn hookbaits short and down his edge, Ian was also able to find some quality carp and silvers to offer 59-13-00 to the scales.

Third place was awarded to Roy Costello from peg 14 centre of the dam wall. Again, pellet and corn hookbaits accounted for the majority of his 38-14-00 catch.
