Ten (10) anglers attended this Saturday club match on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day saw a continuation of hot weather with prolonged periods of sunshine seeing temperatures reach an afternoon high of approximately 28°C.
Winner on the day was Wilf Williams, who drew peg 3 close to the point of the island. Fishing a feeder tight to the far side margin with 6mm pellet on the hook, Wilf found a decent number of carp in all sorts of shapes and sizes to offer a match-winning 64-13-00 to the scales.
Neil Hick finished in second place from peg 8. Alternating between a feeder over to the island, shallow tactics and a late flurry down his edge on pellet and corn, Nick was able to put together a respectable 48-06-00.
Finishing a little off the pace, but still managing to take third place on the day, was Darren Hickman from peg 12. Fishing wafters long to the island on the tip to begin with, Darren found a few fish early on before coming short and down his edge later on with corn to end the day with 22-13-00.
