Seven (7) anglers from Winnalls attended this Saturday club match on Woodside pool. With the resident roach and bream well and truly in spawning mode, the carp were more interested in mopping up any left over spawn. Weights, as a result, were low.
Winner on the day was Frank Williams, who drew peg 10. Opting to fish corn down his edge, Frank found odd carp to weigh in a modest 30-06-00 to win by a narrow margin.
Close behind Frank in second place was Paul Baker, who drew peg 8. Again, fishing corn down his edge, Paul offered 26-05-00 to the scales.
Rounding off the top three was Ray Haycock from peg 13 with 20-09-00.
