Ten (10) anglers from Wolverley AC attended this Sunday contest for the club, which marked their first return visit here for a number of years. This particular match fished a little earlier than normal with anglers underway at 09:15.
Winner on the day was Scott Garrington, who drew peg 14. Not normally an area associated with producing match-winning weights, Scott opted to fish corn short to weigh in 47-12-00 of carp to record the win.
Second place went to Paul Brookes, who drew peg 9. Most of Paul's catch was taken from down his edge on maggot to give him a final weight of 36-10-00.
Rounding off a modest top three finish on the day was Luke Taylor, who drew peg 4 on the dam wall. Fishing pellet down his edge, Luke ended proceedings with 30-05-00 to record a mainframe finish from a notoriously difficult area at this time of year.
