Eleven (11) anglers from Wolverley AC attended this latest Sunday club contest on Woodside pool. The weather is definitely on the turn now with temperatures dropping significantly over night and mornings been noticeably chillier.
For their latest match at Woodside, Wolverley introduced a club ruling stipulating that maggots, casters or worms only could be used.
Winner on the day was Luke Taylor, who drew peg 10. Fishing caster shallow, Luke managed to find mainly carp, including some real specimens, to weigh in 47-08-00 and confirm a comfortable victory.
Second place was taken by Richard Taylor from neighbouring peg 12. Again, fishing caster but to depth on his short line, Richard found carp, roach and skimmers to put 25-07-00 on to the scales.
Finishing close behind in third place was Paul Brookes, who drew peg 8 close to the pads. Fishing double maggot over to the island for the first half of the match, Paul was able to find odd fish before switching to his edge late on to end the day with 23-10-00.
