Ten (10) anglers attended this latest club match held on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were a lot cooler than the previous week or so with a good amount of rain having fallen overnight. The day started off relatively cool with plenty of cloud cover coupled with a strong breeze, but the sun eventually made its presence known during the final hour or so of the match.
Winner on the day was Paul Brookes, who drew peg 20. Opting to fish both maggot and caster down his edge, Paul found some real lumps to weigh in 35-15-00, but by his own admission, probably lost the same again during the course of the day due to hook pulls and breakages.
Finishing in second place was Mick Pitt from peg 8 on the opposite side of the lake. Mick fished a variety of hookbaits including maggot, corn and pellet long to the island and then short later on to offer 24-09-00 to the scales.
Third place on the day was taken by Scott Garrington from peg 4. Fishing corn to the island Scott found mainly carp to weigh in 17-09-00.
