Woodside Anglers, Woodside Pool

Thirteen (13) anglers from new club Woodside Anglers attended this latest Sunday club match. Conditions on the day saw a return of the hot weather with extended periods of bright sunshine and clear skies seeing temperatures peak at around 27°C.

Winner on a hot day was Danny Jones who drew peg 5 in the channel close to the island. Fishing hard pellet over to the island on the pole, Danny found some good-sized carp as well as a handful of silvers to give him a winning weight of 63-10-00.

Finishing close behind in second place from neighbouring peg 6 close to the lily pads was John Thomas. Fishing maggot down his edge for most of the match produced some big carp as well as the obligatory roach, rudd and skimmer bream to give John 54-14-00.

Completing a relatively competitive top three finish was Matt Davis, who drew peg 13. Fishing hard pellet down his edge, Matt managed 40-03-00 of mostly carp as well as roach and rudd.
