Conditions on the day were tough, which was to be expected given the arrival of the year's first frosts resulting in a lot of colour dropping out of the water. The day before saw extreme weather conditions with storm Claudia bringing a months worth of rain in just 24 hours, so the fishing was not expected to be great.
