Topping the field was Phil Smith from peg 27. Opting to fish meat over fishery pellet at top two for most of the match, Phil found quality carp to over 13lbs to weigh in a final 39-07-00.

Ian Stock secured runner-up spot from neighbouring peg 26 with 33-13-00 of carp, all taken on red meat.

Third place on the day was Dick Bird. Fishing meat short at top six, he found odd carp patrolling the near shelf to offer 29-15-00 to the scales.
