Phoenix AC, Woodside Pool

Cold but bright conditions greeted the anglers from Phoenix AC for this latest contest on Woodside pool.

Winner on the day was Paul Padmore, who drew unfancied peg 1. Despite the water temperature being what it is at this time of year, Paul offered meat and corn to tempt 48-13-00 of carp to secure a narrow victory.

Finishing close behind in second place was Jamie Meakin on peg 14. Fishing pellet and corn on the deck, Jamie found odd carp to offer 44-11-00 to the scales.

Third place was taken by Jim Clewes from peg 6, who weighed in 42-06-00 of carp all taken on corn fished over to the island.
