Tight Lines AC, Woodside Pool

Eleven (11) anglers from Tight Lines AC turned out for this Sunday contest on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were extremely warm with very little breeze.

Taking individual honours on the day was Chris Ralph from peg 19. Not normally known for producing big weights, Chris started his match fishing the pellet waggler at distance over towards the island to pick off cruising carp before switching to his edge late on with maggot. Chris had a great match to finish the day with 120-00-00.

Taking second place was Darren Davis, who drew neighbouring peg 22. Again, not an area normally associated with big weights, Darren caught most of his fish on 6mm pellet down the edge to find quality fish up to 17lbs to weigh in 83-02-00.

Dave Greybank finished in third place on the day from peg 21. Alternating between meat and paste hook baits in the margins, Dave offered 66-08-00 to the scales at the end of the five hours.

Back-up weights were also good with fourth placed Mark Bailey managing 56-06-00 to finish just in front of Ian Maccy, who ended the day with 55-10-00.
