Almer AC, Island Pool

Eleven (11) anglers from Almer AC turned out for this Sunday club match on the Island pool. Conditions on the day were even hotter than the day before with the resident carp still spawning.

Winner on the day with 54-02-00 was Ron Day, who drew peg 3. Ron opted to fish pellet and maggot down his edge for most of the match to find carp up to 4lbs.

Nathan Day finished in second place offering 43-10-00 to the scales. Nathan caught on banded pellet fished long at 16m.

Third place on the day was taken by Bill Hall. Bill drew peg fancied peg 27 and offered pellet and maggot down his edges to find odd carp for a final weight of 30-14-00.
