Central Trains AC, Woodside Pool

Updated: Sep 26, 2021

Thirteen (13) anglers from Central Trains attended this Sunday club match on Woodside pool.

Winner on the day was Jim Clewes, who drew peg 10 on the point of the island. Jim fished dead maggot down his right hand edge finding quality fish in numbers to weigh in 101-00-00 and win the match by a comfortable margin.

Dave Lightowlers secured second place from peg 8. Fishing banded 6mm pellet short for most of the match, Dave also found some good quality fish but, unfortunately, lost a number of lumps to finish a good way behind Jim. Dave ended the day with a final 45-07-00.

Third placed Ian Close managed to sneak inside the mainframe finish from peg 21 despite a modest 29-11-00 effort. Fishing pellet short and maggot down his edge, Ian managed to find just a few carp with mainly roach, rudd and skimmer bream gracing his net.
