Cookley Eagles AC, Woodside Pool

A good attendance saw fifteen (15) anglers from Cookley Eagles pegged down on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were quite mild with plenty of cloud cover making the day feel very autumnal.

Winner on the day was Terry Finn, who drew peg 4 on the point of the island. Opting to fish the long pole over to the far side margin offering both pellet and dead maggot, Terry found a good mix of silverfish as well as half a dozen or so decent carp to offer a match-winning 36-09-00 to the scales to top a difficult day.

Runner-up position was taken by Alan Humphries from peg 9. Again, concentrating on the long pole, Alan managed 24-10-00 of roach, skimmer bream and a handful of carp on corn and casters to weigh in a final 24-10-00.

Third on the day was John Baker from peg 13. John started his match fishing pellet on the feeder before having a look down his edge later on to manage a final 23-05-00.
