Open Match, Woodside Pool

Nine (9) anglers attended this latest Sunday open match held on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were a little cooler than they had been during the week with a decent amount of cloud cover. There were still plenty of cruising fish, but the carp weren't really all that interested.

Winner on the day was Mark Beckford, who drew peg 9. Starting his match on pole and pellet at 14.5m over to the island, Mark found pockets of cruising fish before the fish eventually settled on the deck where Mark was able to find more fish on corn over micros. Upon the scales making their way round, Mark recorded a match-winning 57-12-00.

Finishing close behind in second place was Rob Dickinson on peg 1. Rob caught mostly carp on maggot fished short including fish well into double figures to weigh in a final 53-01-00.

Third place went to Len Waters, who drew peg 18. Again, maggot fished short accounted for most of his carp and roach catch for a final weight of 33-14-00.
