Open Match, Woodside Pool

Another small open held on Woodside pool produced five (5) anglers. Conditions on the day were generally cool, breezy, and mostly cloudy with a chance of light rain and drizzle forecast.

Winner on the day, and making it two open wins out of two, was Jason Bird. Jason drew peg 3 on the point of the island yet caught most of his fish from down his edge alternating between maggot and expander hookbaits fished over fishery 4mm feed pellet to end the day with a modest 37-04-00 and top a closely contested match.

Finishing close behind in second place was Dave Bowyer, who drew peg neighbouring peg 5. Again, like Jason, Dave caught the majority of his fish down his edge on pellet and maggot to offer 34-09-00 to the scales.

Completing a close top three finish on the day was John Latham, who drew peg 12. John caught the majority of his fish down his edge on paste to end the day with 25-05-00.
