The Black Boy AC, Island Pool

Fourteen (14) anglers from the Black Boy attended this four hour club fixture on the Island pool.

Winner on the day was Bill Phillips, who drew unfancied peg 5 on the dam wall. Opting to fish a pellet feeder for the duration of the match, Bill was able to find a decent number of smaller carp plus roach and skimmer bream to weigh in 36-02-00.

Finishing in second place on the day was Alfie Beard, who drew peg 13 on the point of the island. Fishing pole & pellet down his left hand edge, Alfie struggled for a good part of the match, but found some fish late on to offer 20-10-00 to the scales.

Third place was taken by Paul Lowe, who drew peg 14. Starting his match over to the island on the feeder, he found a couple of carp early on before his bites dried up. Switching to maggot down his edge, Paul found odd carp, but lost a good number of fish to weigh in a final 16-13-00.
