Seven (7) anglers from Tight Lines attended their second match of the year on Woodside pool. Conditions were extremely wet with prolonged spells of heavy rain making for a pretty miserable day. That said, despite the weather, anglers enjoyed some good sport.
Winner on the day was David Graybanks from peg 20. Opting to fish expanders down his right hand edge, Dave was able to tempt the carp away from the marginal cover and caught short in his margin to weigh in 96-01-00.
Finishing close behind in second place was Darren Davis, who drew peg 1. Again, like Dave, most of Darren's fish were caught down his edge with most of Darren's bites coming on paste. Darren offered a final 90-07-00 to the scales at the end of the five hours.
Third place was awarded to Tony Dyson from peg 9 close to the point of the island. Starting his match on the feeder to the island, Tony found some quality fish patrolling the far side margin before looking down his edge late on with pellet to end the day with 69-10-00.
