Almer AC, Woodside Pool

Eleven anglers from Almer AC turned out for this Sunday club match on Woodside pool.

Winner on the day was Nathan Day, who drew in form peg 10 on the far point of the island. Fishing 6mm expander pellet to the island on the long pole, Nathan found carp in numbers to weigh in a match-winning 80-00-00 to confirm a comfortable victory.

Chris Chiltern took second place from corner peg 6. Fishing worm over to the far side marginal cover, Chris found a good number of small carp patrolling the island to weigh in a level 58lbs.

Third place was taken by Jeff Fellows from peg 16 on the dam wall. Most of Jeff's fish came late on in the match to corn fished down in the margins for a final weigh of 57-00-00.

Fourth placed Ron Day ended the match with 55-02-00 of carp from peg 8 all caught on dead red maggots down his edge.
