A small turnout for Weoley Castle saw just nine anglers attend this Saturday club match on the in-form Island pool. With the number of anglers fishing, pegging was generous meaning lots of room.
Winner on the day was Bill Eade. Fishing pole and pellet to depth at 13m, Bill caught good quality carp steadily for the duration of the match to end proceedings with a match-winning 60-04-00.
Finishing close behind in second place was Dave Waldron. Dave opted to fish paste for the first half of the match before switching to his edge later on with pellet to offer 59-12-00 to the scales.
Rounding off the top three on the day was Richard Franks. Richard caught late on down his edge on meat to weigh in 37-12-00.
