Clampitts AC, Woodside Pool

A small turnout of just nine anglers attended this Sunday club match on Woodside pool for Clampitts AC. Conditions on the day saw many fish shallow either on the pole or pellet waggler with temperatures in excess of 20 degrees bringing the fish up in the water.

Winner on the day with a superb 147-02-00 was Lee Westwood from fancied peg 3. Fishing the pellet waggler parallel to the island, Lee found carp in numbers before switching to his edge line late on to find better quality fish to win the match by a clear margin.

Finishing in second place was Dave Richards from peg 21. Fishing pellet up in the water on the pole, Dave found some quality fish to offer 81-04-00 to the scales at the end of the five hours.

Rounding off a great days fishing was Dave Brain, who drew peg 19. Again, fishing pole and pellet shallow, Dave found mostly carp to weigh in 60-06-00.
