Rea Hall AC, Woodside Pool

With the mercury nudging thirty (30) degrees, oppressive humidity, little or no breeze and fish still swimming around in pairs wanting to spawn, fishing on this latest Saturday club match wasn't the best with weights being much lower than in recent weeks.

Winner on a tough day was John Foster, who drew peg 8. Fishing worm and caster up in the water on the long pole, John ended the match with small carp, quality roach and skimmer bream to weigh 27-10-00.

David Male finished in second place from peg 4 with 21-11-00. Fishing 8mm pellet, David found odd carp down his edge, but was unable to get the large numbers of fish passing through his swim to get their heads down and feed.

Rounding off a low top three on the day was John Cotterhill. John also opted to fish 8mm pellet starting his match fishing to depth before looking down his edges late on to offer 18-14-00 to the scales.
