Eight (8) anglers from Salt Marsh AC attended this Sunday club match held on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day started off a little wet, but soon dried up with the wind being a little stronger than the day before. Again, the resident carp were shoaled extremely tight off the back of the wind, meaning those anglers that drew off the fish struggled.
Clear winner on the day was Terry Box, who drew peg 8 close to the island. Fishing 8mm pellet over maggot both to the pads and, later, down his edge, Terry found mainly carp to weigh in a match-winning 85-02-00.
Finishing in second place from peg 3 on the opposite point of the island was Martin Gooding. Martin started his match on the pellet waggler and found odd cruising fish before switching to his edge late on with paste to find a couple of larger stamp fish to offer a modest 30-01-00 to the scales.
Third place on the day was awarded to Tony Garvey, who drew corner peg 6 close to the pads. Fishing pellet over to the pads and down his edge for the final ninety (90) minutes, Tony ended the day with 29-12-00.
