Seventeen (17) anglers attended this Sunday club match held across both Woodside and Island pools. Conditions on the day were a little cooler, but still far from what could be considered comfortable. Ambient air pressure remained high and fish continued to play hard to get. That said, it was another closely contest match with very little separating the top three placed anglers on either pool.
WOODSIDE
Winner on the day on Woodside pool was Paul Knight, who drew peg 12. Paul caught the majority of his match-winning catch on dead maggot fished down his inside over groundbait to offer a modest 48-04-00 to the scales to confirm a narrow victory.
Finishing close behind in second place was Mal Harrison from peg 8. Fishing hard pellet both short and, later, down his edge Mal found mostly carp as well as quality roach and skimmer bream to weigh in 45-06-00.
Finishing close behind Mal in third place was Tony Higgs from peg 5. Tony started his match on the method feeder and managed to take a few fish early on from by the pads before switching to his inside line late on offering maggot over fishery feed pellet. Tony managed a final 43-06-00.
