Eleven anglers fished this Sunday club match on Woodside pool. Conditions were extremely hot with temperatures again north of thirty degrees, which made the fishing tricky. Most of anglers weights were achieved in the final hour with the fish coming into the edges as the heat left the sun.
Winner on the day was John Cattermole, who drew peg 10 on the point of the island. Fishing corn short literally between his keepnets, John found some quality fish to weigh in 62-08-00.
Finishing close behind in second place was Carl Hunter from corner peg 6 by the pads. Fishing banded 6mm pellet short, Carl found mainly carp to weigh in 54-12-00.
Karl Hunter finished in third place from peg 1 at the bottom of the path. Again, most of Karl's fish were taken on banded 6mm pellet fished short to give him a final 40-15-00. .
