Eleven (11) anglers from Tight Lines attended this Sunday club match on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were a big improvement on the day before with plenty of sunshine around and temperatures hovering at a pleasant twenty degrees. However, torrential rain on the Saturday had lowered water temperatures and stopped the carp midway through spawning, so things were expected to be a little tricky.
Topping the field on the day was Darren Davis, who drew peg 10. Darren caught most of his fish down his right hand edge towards peg 11 on paste over groundbait including some real quality fish to weigh in 76-01-00.
Second place went to Tony Dyson, who drew peg 13 on the dam wall. Tony caught smaller carp in numbers fishing a small method feeder down his edge to offer 42-11-00 to the scales.
Third on the day was Chris Ralphs from corner peg 6. Fishing long over to the island up in the water, Chris found some nice carp over on the far bank to weigh in 40-08-00.
