Conditions on the day were tough, which was to be expected given the arrival of the year's first frosts resulting in a lot of colour dropping out of the water. That said, there were still a decent number of carp caught from around the lake on angler's longer lines as well as more decent silverfish nets made up mostly of good quality roach. Saturday 15th November saw eight (8) anglers go head-to-head for this latest round of the 2025 Winter League series held on Woodside pool. The day before saw extreme weather conditions with storm Claudia bringing a months worth of rain in just 24 hours, so the fishing was not expected to be great.
