Winner on the day of this latest Saturday club match was Ash Chelbec, who drew peg 14. Offering pellet both shallow and down in his margins during the final throws of the match, Ash found mainly carp to weigh in a final 49-12-00.
Finishing close behind was Bill Drew from neighbouring peg 16. Bill matched Ash fish for fish for the duration of the match, and it was anybody's guess who had done enough. However, upon the scales making their way round, Bill confirmed 45-12-00.
