A small turnout saw just nine anglers from Metal Closures attend this Saturday club match on Woodside pool. Conditions on the day were noticeably cooler than in recent weeks with a cold wind and a full moon the night before having an effect on weights.
Winner on the day was Alan Gibbs. Alan found carp willing to feed down his edge early on and through the match to soft 8mm pellet and red meat to offer 76-01-00 to the scales at the end of the five hours.
Kevin Round finished runner-up weighing in 70-09-00. Again, concentrating down his edge, Kevin found carp to meat.
John Leadbetter finished in third place with 61-13-00 of carp all taken on corn fished short at 6m.
