A big turnout saw anglers from Halesowen Cricket Club pegged across both Woodside and Island pools. Conditions on the day were pleasant apart from the near gale force wind that battered the complex for the duration of the match.
Winner on the day on Woodside pool was Scott Rhodes. Scott drew peg 8 round the back of the island and opted to fish shallow over to cover on the far side. Fishing pellet up in the water, Scott found carp patrolling the island in numbers to weigh in an excellent 108-08-00 for a narrow victory.
Finishing close behind in second place was Eddie Rhodes. Eddie drew peg 5 and caught most of his fish down his inside on meat. Quality carp helped Eddie to a final 105-08-00.
Chris Newton finished in third place from corner peg 7. Offering meat short at top two plus one, he found quality carp to weigh in 93-12-00.
