A small gathering of just nine (9) anglers attended this Sunday contest on the Island pool. Conditions on the day were a little muggy with temperatures exceeding 20 degrees despite plenty of cloud cover.
Topping the field on the day was Kim Hunter, who drew peg 9 on the dam wall. Not usually an area known for producing match winning weights, Kim caught most of his weight down the edge to red meat weighing in 56-13-00 come the end of the five hours to win the match by the narrowest of margins.
Graham Poultice finished in second place from peg 20 close to the island. Again, opting to fish red meat in the margins, Graham offered 56-11-00 to the scales.
Third place on the day was taken by Kevin Round. Kevin fished corn short for much of the match to end with 50-01-00.
Rounding off a tight top four was Vaughn Graham with 49-02-00.
