Fifteen (15) anglers from Chuckery AC lined the banks of Island pool for this latest club match. Conditions on the day were a continuation of previous weeks with temperatures exceeding 20 degrees with little to now wind. The resident carp are now in spawning mode with weights, as a result, relatively low for the time of year.
Winner on the day was Wilf Pearce from favoured peg 27. Opting to fish shallow for most of the match with pellet at 11m, Wilf found mainly carp to weigh in 58-10-00.
Finishing in second place was Chris Roberts with 53-10-00.
Rounding off the top three finish on the day was Colin Pearce, who offered 39-11-00 to the scales fishing corn down his edge.
