Twelve (12) anglers from Parkes Hall lined the banks of Woodside pool for this latest Sunday club match. Conditions on the day were a little cooler than the last several days with a good amount of cloud cover about and the threat of rain later in the day. However, as the day progressed, the day improved and weights recorded were back to something like with the majority of the big weights coming from off the island pegs.
Winner on the day was Steve Worton, who drew fancied peg 3 on the point of the island. Opting to fish meat over maggot down his edge for most of the match, Steve found carp in numbers to weigh in 130-10-00 to comfortably top the field.
Second place on the day went to Craig Jeavons, who drew peg 9 close to the opposite point of the island. Again, most of Craig's fish came from down his edge with Craig favouring corn fished over a bed of pellet to weigh in a final 83-13-00.
Third placed Aiden Watkins drew peg 5 and fished meat down his edge to finish proceedings with 67-11-00 of carp.
