Pensnett & Brockmore AC, Island Pool

Twelve (12) anglers from Pensnett & Brockmore AC attended this Sunday club match on Island pool. Conditions on the day were a little cooler compared with the days leading up to the match with plenty of cloud cover about coupled with the threat of rain later on in the day. However, as the day wore on, conditions improved and, although weights were a little low, there was very little separating the top four overall.

Winner on the day was Chris Morris, who drew peg 17 on the top bank. Opting to fish paste in his margins, Chris found odd good-sized fish to weigh in 54-08-00 to record a narrow victory.

Second place went to Rob Davies, who drew peg 4 on the dam wall. Fishing worm down his edge, Rob ended the day with 51-15-00 to finish on level pegging with Andrew Lee's from peg 27.

Andrew fished dead red maggot down his edge to also end the match with 51-15-00.

Fourth placed Ian Wakeman weighed in 47-11-00 from peg 15. Fishing paste short at top two plus one and down his edge, Ian found mainly carp to round off what was a tight top four on the day.
