A small gathering saw seven (7) anglers from Adam's AC attend this Sunday club match on Woodside pool. The weather remained unbearably hot for the most part with temperatures nudging thirty degrees for the second day in a row. Weights were a little down on the day before, with the resident carp enjoying the sun on their backs and showing little interest in getting their heads down. Again, as with the previous days matches, the net limit for this latest fixture was reduced to 40lb, with carp being divided equally across three nets instead of two. Small silverfish were returned to the water immediately and the pumps were left running for the duration of the match.
Clear winner on the day was Tony Green, who drew corner peg 6 close to the pads. Tony started his match fishing close to the lillies, but was unable to turn any carp that he managed to hook, so abandoned plan A and switched to plan B offering hard pellet down his edge to find 50-05-00 of carp, including some real specimens.
Second place was awarded to Steve Crutch, who drew peg 8. Opting to fish a small method feeder over to the island and then later down his edge, Steve weighed in 27-08-00.
Finishing close behind in third place was Jonathon Holyoake from end peg 20. Again, a small method feeder produced most of Jon's 27-02-00 catch.
