Ten (10) anglers from Metal Closures AC attended the first of their four matches here at Woodside this season. Conditions on the day saw a continuation of clear blue skys and temperatures nudging twenty degrees.
Winner on the day was Martin Davies, who drew peg 10. Opting to fish corn short for most of the match, Martin was able to find some quality fish to weigh in a match winning 64-00-00.
Finishing close behind on the opposite point of the island was Kim Hunter on peg 3. Again, corn accounted for much of Kim's 62-01-00 catch.
Third place on the day was awarded to Adam Lees, who drew peg 13. Fishing pellet down his edge, Adam found mainly carp with a handful of roach and skimmer bream to offer 46-00-00 to the scales.
