Moor Lane AC, Island Pool

Seven (7) anglers from Moor Lane attended this Saturday rod-only club match held on the Island pool. Conditions were, once again, extremely hot and sticky with ambient air pressure still holding at the high end of the scale. Weights were a little down on the previous weekend, but it was another very closely contested match.

Winner on the day was Rod Sowney, who drew peg 14. With it being a rod-only match, the aptly named Rod opted to fish a method feeder down his edge to find carp of all sizes to weigh in a match-winning 63-06-00.

Finishing close behind in second place was Pete Adkins from peg 9. Fishing the pellet waggler for the most part of the match, Pete managed a healthy bag of fish before coming down his inside late on with a method feeder to weigh in 59-09-00.

Not too far behind in third place was Mark Newman from peg 12. Again, fishing a method feeder over to the island, Mark found mostly carp to weigh in 55-03-00.
