Sunshine AC, Woodside Pool

Sunday saw eleven (11) anglers from Sunshine AC attend their very first club match here at Woodside Fishery on the bottom [Woodside] pool. Conditions on the day were forecast to be relatively warm again with the chance of a few showers as the day went on.

Winner on the day was Ashley Green, who drew peg 5 in the channel close to the island. Opting to fish maggot down his edge on a method feeder, Ash was rewarded with some decent-sized carp and a handful of roach and skimmers to offer a match-winning 57-06-00 to the scales.

Second place went to Guy Cattell, who drew fancied peg 10 on the opposite point of the island. Guy started his match fishing pole and pellet over to the island to find odd carp over on the far shelf before switching to his edges late on with worm and corn to find some bonus fish. Guy ended the day with 48-06-00.

Third place on the day was taken by Craig Green, who drew peg 4. Again, most of Craig's fish were taken on the method feeder fished down his edge to give him 33-12-00.
