Fifteen (15) anglers attended this Saturday match held across both the main match lakes. Conditions on the day saw a continuation of the mini heatwave with temperatures creeping over thirty degrees. With the extreme temperatures, the net limit for this fixture was reduced to 40lbs, with anglers also required to return small silverfish immediately and any carp caught were to be split equally across three keepnets instead of two in an effort to avoid fish becoming stressed as a result of overcrowding. The pumps were also left on for the duration of the match to help with dissolved oxygen levels.
WOODSIDE
Winner on the day on Woodside pool was Lee Cashmore, who drew peg 11. Lee caught most of his fish on corn fished over fishery pellet down his edge to weigh in 76-11-00 to finish narrowly ahead of second place.
Finishing close behind in second place was Chris Hall, who drew a few pegs down on peg 8. Chris started his match fishing shallow and managed to find a few early carp cruising in the upper layers before they backed off. Chris concentrated on his edges for the remainder of the match alternating between paste and dead reds to end the day with 75-07-00.
Finishing ever so slightly off the pace, but still securing a mainframe finish was Roger Tome from peg 1. Roger also managed to find carp shallow on pellet on the long pole before a look down his inside late on with dead red maggot saw him offer 51-09-00 to the scales.

Winner on the day on Island pool was Scott Sprigg. Scott drew peg 2 and fished paste down his edge for most of the match to find small stockies in numbers to weigh in a superb 108-02-00 and confirm a comfortable win in the process.
Finishing runner-up was Chris Tome, who drew peg 14. Chris started his match on the pellet waggler and managed to put together a good run of fish before switching to his edge for the final half of the match. Offering pellet down his left hand margin, Chris found some better stamp fish late on despite struggling with a few snags to weigh in 78-06-00.
Jason Bird finished in third place from peg opposite the island. Fishing paste short and down his edge, Jason found mainly small carp to weigh in a decent 62-13-00.
